Phokis, Greece, Phokian League Federal Coinage, Rule of Phayllos?, c. 352 - 351 B.C.

BCD noted, "...a very rare little bronze fraction for which no reference has been found, has a bull’s head similar to the Williams section D obverses and may represent an effort to provide an alternative to the Athena obverse series, meant perhaps to fill the need for a different looking currency struck for a special occasion. But the idea never caught on, at least for a bulk issue, probably because the types were the same as the bigger denomination."
